Its name comes from gunpowder — those little hand-rolled pellets that slowly unfurl in hot water. Effective, straightforward, no frills.

Gunpowder is an iconic Chinese green tea, prized for its bold character: a slight bitterness on the palate, a minty freshness and a lovely lingering finish. It forms the traditional base for mint tea in the Maghreb, but is also excellent on its own. A tea that doesn’t set out to charm — it simply wins you over.

Produced using organic farming methods.

Brewing: 75°C — 2–3 minutes. Use filtered or spring water to preserve the full subtlety of the flavours.
